THE CROWN

IMELDA STAUNTON is back as Queen Elizabeth II in the next series instalment of Netflix’s hit series The Crown.

 

Part I of the sixth series dropped onto Netflix on the 16th November, shaping the timeline with 4 new episodes encasing the lives of the Windsor family and the relationships of the royals, including the divorce of Diana and Charles. The fictional drama then continues in mid December with a further 6 episodes being released on the 14th, thus concluding the series entirely.

 

Imelda is widely known for her roles of Maud Bagshaw in Downton Abbey and Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter. She can recently be heard in the Netflix’s upcoming release Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget in which she reprises her role as Bunty. This highly anticipated animation film comes to Netflix 15th December.

A bright RP, Imelda stands out as a highly versatile voice artist with credits including Paddington, Arthur Christmas, numerous audiobooks such as The Gruffalo and other Julia Donaldson classics - a highly experienced and sought-after read, Imelda is a fabulous choice for a recognisable casting.

THE VELVETEEN RABBIT

Alex Lawther & Helena Bonham Carter

 

Based on much-loved children’s book by Margery Williams, The Velveteen Rabbit comes to AppleTV+. The 40-minute special follows 7-year-old William who receives a new toy for Christmas. ALEX LAWTHER voices the role of the rabbit, alongside HELENA BONHAM CARTER who can be heard as the horse.

 

Produced by Magic Light Pictures, The Velveteen Rabbit mixes live-action and animation in the reimagined, classic tale about friendship, imagination, and the magic that they bring together.

 

Alex Lawther

 

Alex Lawther is a widely versatile actor known for his roles in End of the F**king World, Black Mirror, and Andor’s Karis Nemik. He delivers a gentle read and can inject great amounts of character into any role, being able to portray various UK dialects as well as American.

Vocal credits include The Owl House, Summer Camp Island, and Lloyd of the Flies where he voiced the lead, Abacus, Alex is a star pick for family scripts and uniquely quirky characters.

Helena Bonham Carter

 

Recognised globally for her versatility, Helena holds a wide range of vocal capabilities showcased in the electric Bellatrix Lestrange, the eloquent Princess Margaret, the dangerous Mrs Lovett and many, many more. Helena sparks life into any character with such a distinguishable and energetic voice.

Her musical triumphs can also be seen in Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, Les Misérables and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street which have hailed her multiple nominations and awards over her extensive career.

THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR 

Eleanor Tomlinson & Ioanna Kimbook 

 

This new drama comes to Channel 4 on the 27th November starring ELEANOR TOMLINSON and IOANNA KIMBOOK. The show revolves around married couple Evie (played by Eleanor) and Pete who become entangled into the lives of their new neighbours, Danny and Becka after moving to the suburbs.

 

Eleanor Tomlinson

 

Eleanor Tomlinson is a wonderfully versatile actor with recent credits including The Nevers, Intergalactic and The Outlaws where she plays series regular Gabby. She is widely recognised from her role of Demelza in Poldark.

A bright and honeyed voice, Eleanor’s voice-over work includes documentary Revolution – New Art for a New World, and films Loving Vincent, and the newly released Mummies.

She is a stand-out pick for a smooth and warm read.

Ioanna Kimbook

 

Stepping into the role of Sophie in The Couple Next Door, Ioanna was recently seen in the  Almeida’s Women Beware The Devil - another contribution to her illustrious stage career.

On screen, she can recently be seen in Disney+ series Wedding Season as Suji and hit satirical series Inside No.9 where she played the role of Angel. Ioanna is of mixed English, Cypriot heritage and can also speak conversational Korean.

With vocal credits including audiobooks, video games and narrative scripts, Ioanna holds a confident and warm voice and is a top choice for versatility.

SLOW HORSES

Jack Lowden

 

Apple TV+ is bringing the quick-witted spy drama back for another series.

 

With JACK LOWDEN back on the scene as River Cartwright, he joins the rest of the dysfunctional MI5 team in a brilliant mixture of comedy and drama that keeps you hooked throughout.

 

Being the third series of the show, it follows suit as the adaptation of Mick Herron’s third novel, Real Tigers, wherein the future of MI5 is a risk when buried secrets are threatened to be uncovered. Also starring Bespoke’s Simon Chandler, the new season of Slow Horses premieres to Apple TV+ on November 29th.

As well as Slow Horses, Jack is know for leading the cast in BBC’s new crime drama The Gold. Jack can also be recognised in film with leading performances in recent film hits Benediction and Dunkirk.
